Contap Industries was established in 1994 as manufacturers' agents
servicing the plumbing industry in state of New South Wales in Australia,
with some 12 product categories - of which one was Tapware & Bathroom
accessories.
In 1998, Contap Industries made a giant move to produce
its own tapware and bathroom accessories. Over the
next two years, Contap Industries designed and manufactured
some 9 ranges of tapware
and 6 ranges of bathroom
accessories. The product range covered different
styles with matching bathroom accessories from up-market
to standard budget lines for bathroom, kitchen and
laundry.
Contap Industries also manufactures and supplies tap components to OEM tap manufacturers.
Contap manufacturing ability is in design - keeping up-to-date with global fashion
and styling, functional and plumber-friendly, with latest technology and materials
made to Australian Standards. The special care in quality control and service
levels is the hallmark of the Contap Industries.
Contap will always focus on consumer requirements, and keep up with current designs
and fashion styling.
In 1999 Contap Industries assisted Mamoli Roubinetteria S.p.A. in Italy with
Australian Standards accreditation and Watermark Licence, which was issued in
August 2000. Mamoli Roubinetteria S.p.A. is an accredited company by IQNet and
CISQ/ICIM for ISO 9001 in Italy. It also holds many other licences of countries
to which they export.
On June 2002 Mamoli appointed Contap Industries as the National Distributor of
Mamoli products in Australia. This partnership strengthened Contap's product
range as well as extending the marketing and distribution arm to all states of
Australia. Mamoli Roubinetteria S.p.A. is one of the leading Tap manufacturers
in Europe. In 1932, Spartaco Mamoli was a pioneer in Italian business and design
- a modern man known for his good taste and boundless enthusiasm, with a mind
focused on the future.
In 2004, seventy two years later, the founder's philosophy
is still the cornerstone of the company, now an historic
reference point for the entire field and for consumers
in Italy and around the world. The company is known
